Terms & Conditions of Artificial Grass Supply & Installation

  1. Quotations & Pricing –

All quotations are valid for 28 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Formal quotations are based on information and measurements provided by the customer along with a site survey.

Any changes to site conditions, specification, or access may result in additional charges. Prices include VAT where applicable and will be clearly stated on the quotation. Additional charges may apply for extensive excavation or levelling, extra sub-base materials, skip hire, removal of tree roots/stumps, rubble or buried obstructions.

 

  1. Booking, Deposits & Payment Terms –

A non-refundable deposit of 40% is required to confirm booking and order materials. The remaining balance of 60% is payable upon completion of installation and no later than 3 working days thereafter.

Accepted payment methods: Bank Transfer, Debit/Credit Card (which incur a 1.6% transaction fee), Cash unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, plus reasonable recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

 

  1. Cancellations & Rescheduling –

If the customer cancels after materials have been ordered, the customer will be liable for the cost of those materials and any supplier restocking fees. Postponements requested within two weeks of the installation date may incur rescheduling fees. South Coast Artificial Grass Limited may reschedule work where necessary due to weather, safety issues, supply or delays on circumstances beyond our control.

 

  1. Installation Requirements & Site Conditions –

The customer must ensure suitable access for installers, tools, equipment and materials. South Coast Artificial Grass accepts no liability for minor damage to driveways or paths caused by delivery vehicles where reasonable care is taken. The customer must disclose any underground services or hazards. South Coast Artificial Grass Limited is not liable for damage to undisclosed services. If further ground preparation is required beyond the quotation, additional charges will be discussed before

work continues.

 

  1. Waste Removal & Site Conduct –

Waste removal is included as specified in the quotation. If not included, disposal charges apply. The customer must provide parking/permits where required. Parking charges, fines or delays caused by access issues may be added to the final invoice. South Coast Artificial Grass Limited will maintain a tidy work environment, but installation may temporarily cause noise, disruption or mess.

 

  1. Product Warranty & Workmanship Guarantee –

Artificial grass includes a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty covering UV stability and manufacturing defects. South Coast Artificial Grass Limited provides a 5-year workmanship guarantee from installation completion covering installation faults only. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by pets, fire, misuse, heavy objects, sports use not suited to the product, ground movement, drainage issues caused by external factors, flooding or weed growth due to lack of maintenance. Repairs or alterations by a third party void the guarantee.

 

  1. Client Maintenance Obligations –

The customer is responsible for ongoing care, including brushing, cleaning, removing debris and addressing pet waste. Improper maintenance may reduce lifespan and affect warranty validity.

 

  1. Drainage Clause –

Artificial grass is permeable and designed to allow water to drain through the backing layer into the sub-base. South Coast Artificial Grass Limited installs a suitable sub-base to aid drainage unless the customer requests a different method.

South Coast Artificial Grass Limited is not liable for drainage issues caused by pre-existing garden drainage problems, clay soils, natural ground movement, run-off from neighbouring properties or landscape design not carried out by the company. Optional drainage solutions such as soakaways or French drains can be quoted separately.

 

  1. Pet-Friendly Clause –

If the installation is for pet-friendly use, the customer must inform South Coast Artificial Grass Limited at the quotation stage. Additional products may be recommended such as pet-friendly infill, odour-reducing membranes or antibacterial products. South Coast Artificial Grass Limited is not liable for odour, staining or hygiene issues caused by pet urine or waste. This is a maintenance responsibility. Pets may cause wear, digging or damage that is not covered under warranty.

 

  1. Consumer Rights Act 2015 –

These Terms do not affect the customers statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Customers can expect goods of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and services carried out with reasonable care and skill. If a fault arises due to incorrect installation, South Coast Artificial Grass Limited will repair or replace within a reasonable timeframe. If unresolved, the customer may be entitled to a price reduction or partial refund in line with UK consumer law.
